I agree with you king the Giants maybe cheap but are not going to let panda test free agency.. I think they will lock him up long term I remeber when ppl said they might trade Bonds for Vlad and they didnt then the said they would let him test free agency and they didnt .. Panda I think might get one of those 6 to 8 yr deals if givin th oppertunity .. Also another thing you might consider with good free agent pitchers ready for next yr does that make Cain Expendable??

Kings of Cali you know I love that you posted this about Brad Penny. I liked him as a Giant but when he says he left us because he wanted to win a championship can I laugh? Who says they will even get to the world series.. They cant get past the first round losing to the dodgers twice.. and lets not forget we beat them to get to the world series.. I just love how ppl rave about Puljos but I will drop him a hint if he doesnt leave st louis he will never win a tittle regardles..

Your question, “Do you think this stunt was something that should have no place in baseball?”

I have no problem with celebrations if that’s what they are, but this was just a cheap stunt. There was no emotion being shown for a walk-off.

Glad the Giants got the retaliation out of the way in spring training because those games in July against the Brewers could be big…

And wish I would’ve been warned that the clip linked to mike and mike…gawd awful those two…couldn’t make it through the whole thing.

I hope by now everyone got to see the clip of Zito plunking Fielder. Fielder should be happy it wasn’t Brian Wilson hitting him. I’m okay with Zito hitting him. It doesn’t have to be hard to hurt him. It’s just getting the point across.

Well done. I liked how you gave us the four scenarios you thought could play out.

I only like two scenarios, and they’re a bit different than yours.

I think the best case scenario (and one the Giants won’t use) is to have DeRosa slide over to second and have Bowker in left field. You gain pop, and move DeRosa into the two hole. The problem is that you probably have to hit Molina 5 which isn’t what you want.

The other scenario is Frandsen because he’s a Sanchez type hitter with more pop. He might not hit for as high of an average by getting Sanchez-like slop singles, but he isn’t that far away in my opinion. Again, the Giants won’t do it because he’s not their favorite, but he’s a perfect fit.

I’d keep Uribe as a late inning replacement for Renteria. I think he’s more valuable that way. And I’d keep Eugenio “Manos De Piedra” Velez away from the infield. Gloves are not supposed to be made of stone.
