What’s Next For Ishikawa?

Posted on April 11th, 2011 by admin in King of Cali Blog

A day after receiving his World Series ring, Travis Ishikawa was in the Fresno Grizzlies lineup. Ishikawa got the start in left field, and had an 0-for-5 day at the plate. He did however reach base on an error. Ishikawa is hoping to find his 2008 swing, when he hit .310 with 16 homers for the Grizzlies. Ishikawa was the odd man out when the Giants decided to have Brandon Belt on the Opening Day roster.
“There’s two ways you can look at it. You can pout, be upset and angry and probably let that affect you on the field. Or you let it humble yourself and realize there are some things that need to be worked on,” Ishikawa said.
Ishikawa has played 281 games in a San Francisco Giants uniform. He has a career.265 AVG, 15 homers, 80 RBI’s and 80 runs scored.

  1. I hope the best for Travis. He’s a great fielder and has power; he just needs to go for the fence more; be more aggressive at the plate
