SF Giants Rumors: AFL Update On Crawford, Brown And Panik

Looking for an update on San Francisco Giants players in the Arizona Fall League? Look no further, cause you’ve come to the right place!

The Scottsdale Scorpions are 4-8 (as of the start of today), and have the leagues worst batting average (.249). They also have the league-low runs scored (54) as well.

Brandon Crawford has played in 6 games thus far, and leads the team with his .360 batting average. The Giants are hoping he can make some tweaks to his swing, so he pull his weight at the plate. The defense is already stellar for B-Craw!

Gary Brown is hitting .229 in 8 games. He has 2 steals and has been caught 1 time. Don’t count on his average staying this low. Brown will pick it up with his stick and use his legs to steal some bags.

Joe Panik has played in 9 games, and is only hitting .200 at this time. The Giants have high hopes for Panik as he was the 4th infielder selected by the Giants in the first round since 1985. The other 3 players are Will Clark (85), Matt Williams (86) and Royce Clayton (88).

Keep in mind this is just fall league, so these numbers are nothing to worry or brag about. It’s just to keep these guys playing and to continue to work on their game.
