SF Giants Rumors: Awesome Pitching, Hot Team

Posted on June 29th, 2012 by admin in SF Giants Rumors

The San Francisco Giants pitching is running smooth like a well oiled machine. Madison Bumgarner tossed a 1 hit shutout to an outstanding Reds offense. The G-men haven’t allowed a run since Sunday (36 scoreless innings) in Oakland. That’s the longest streak in franchise history since 1948. Bumgarner is also the first Giants pitcher to hit double digits (10) in the win column.

Stay Hot

The Giants are 17-9 in the month of June, and that’s the league best record. These Giants are clicking on all cylinders right now, and there is no signs of them slowing down. Matt Cain takes the mound tonight and is looking to keep the shutout streak intact or at least the win streak. Cain’s career against the Reds is 4-4 wit ha 3.19 ERA.

  1. When we look at the success of the team we need to look at management with a approving message. Do you realize that off all the position players, there is only one repeat from last year…3rd base. They are doing this with what amounts to a new team. Even the bull pen, if my numbers are correct, 3 of the seven are new.

This is like a complete makeover…good job management.

  2. It is looking like the June Swoon is from the years of the past.
