SF Giants Rumors: Bumgarner’s Big Win, Giants Clutch In Close Games, And Pence Gets Another RBI

Congratulations to pitcher Madison Bumgarner for getting the win last night, which happens to be his 15th on the season. The last San Francisco Giants left-handed pitcher to get 15 wins in a season was Shawn Estes in 2000.
We all learned in 2010, once you get to the playoffs it’s a different kind of game. Every pitch is crucial to the outcome of the game. The Giants know there is going to be some really close 1-run games come playoff time. With that said, the G-Men lead the majors with 29 wins in 1-run games this season. Sounds like a recipe for success!

Outfielder Hunter Pence adds another RBI to his baseball card for 2012. That gives him 94 on the season, and 35 in a Giants uniform. Pence might not be putting up a high average with the Giants, but he’s doing his job with guys on base. He finds a way to drive runs in.

Don’t forget to go to the SF Giants Rumors Facebook page to share your thoughts on Bumgarner reaching 15 wins, Giants winning the close games, and Pence driving in runs!
