Since Pat (The Bat) Burrell has joined the San Francisco Giants. He’s done nothing but show he’s a professional hitter. Burrell was the first of six player added to the team since the season began. Below are his stats, and I would love to hear your thoughts on if the Giants should or shouldn’t bring him back next year?

  1. Yes by all means bring him back!!
He and Huff love the Giants and their new start with them.
    They are now Giants forever!

  2. You know when they first got Pat I thought ugh maybe he will work. But as the season has progressed I see now why they picked him up. My answer is yes resign if he takes a good deal but, do not over pay him. I mean hes a good pop hitter. Now my thought is what are they gonna do with all these outfields. Right now you have as follows: Huff Burrell Guillen Ross Rowand Nate Torress Velez. My opinion is keep Burell Huff Ross and Guillen. I think they will try and trade Rowand this off Season.

  3. Pat the bat has been a great low risk move that has won many games for us.I really also like the moves for Guillen and Ross as well and now the team has enough offense to make the playoffs.Burrell should be resigned along with Huff and Ross for next year.

  4. Mr.B,

The way these guys have been swinging the bats the past two games. I would say they can hang with anyone. Now it’s just our starting rotation that needs to get back on track, so we can have a chance to make the playoffs.

  5. Absolutely bring Pat the Bat back. Not only is he a Giants fan himself, he’s a presence in the lineup and not only producing but also showing the younger hitters how to draw out the counts and weaken opposing pitchers, or, how to hit. Keep Pat The Bat, keep Torres, keep Ross or Guillen.
