SF Giants Rumors: Buster Posey Arbitration Eligible, Giants Closing In On Japanese Infielder Kensuke Tanaka
Henry Schulman of the San Francisco Chronicle says (via Twitter) there’s been no contract discussions between the San Francisco Giants and Buster Posey‘s agent.
Posey is entering his first of four years of arbitration. Which means he’s under the Giants control till the end of the 2016 season. He’s going to start getting paid now that he’s entering arbitration. I would say winning Rookie of the Year, and the MVP would be a good reason to get a nice pay increase!
John Shea of the San Francisco Chronicle (via Twitter) hears that the Giants are closing in on signing second baseman Kensuke Tanaka to a minor league deal with a Spring Training invite. Tanaka hit .300 for Nippon Ham Fighters.
Don’t forget to go to the SF Giants Rumors Facebook page to share your thoughts on Posey hitting arbitration for the first time, and the Giants closing in on Japanese second baseman Tanaka!
