The San Francisco Giants have inked reliever Santiago Casilla to a 3-year deal worth $15 million, reports Henry Schulman of the San Francisco Chronicle.

Andrew Baggarly of CSNBayArea.com (via Twitter) adds that the Casilla deal buys out two of his free-agent years. The team also has control over a third year as well (club option).

Matt Eddy of Baseball America reports (via Twitter) that the Giants have signed 27-year-old outfielder Javier Herrera, former Athletics prospect. Herrera currently has 7 homers in 18 games in the Venezuelan League. In another tweet, Eddy points out that Herrera’s teammates in the Venezuelan League are Gregor Blanco and Hector Sanchez.
