SF Giants Rumors – DeRosa To Giants?

Joe Strauss and Derrick Goold of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch say the Cardinals consider Mark DeRosa as an option to replace Matt Holliday in left field if he doesn’t return. They also say the San Francisco Giants are a leading contender for DeRosa.
King of Cali thoughts: DeRosa is in his mid 30′s and has a career .275 AVG. He is a good compliment player, but the Giants need a big bat. His career home runs are 92. We need someone that is going to hit a third of that next year. Don’t get me wrong. I do like DeRosa, but if he’s our big move. Then we’re still going to have some problems with our offense. The good thing about DeRosa is he can pretty much play anywhere. He is a valuable player to add to a team. Let’s just hope if the Giants sign him. That he’s not the only one they add to try to improve the offense.
