SF Giants Rumors: George Kontos

Posted on January 29th, 2013 by admin in SF Giants Rumors

George Kontos GiantsWith the Super Bowl coming up, there hasn’t been very much San Francisco Giants news. I’m sure you just keep hearing about all the office football pools and people talking about betting on sports. You can click here if that’s your cup of tea. However, I’m here to talk about Giants baseball. I was able to dig a little deep and find some Giants news for you.

Reliever George Kontos has been named Chicago area Major League Player of the Year by The Pitch & Hit Club of Chicago. It’s well deserved, Kontos put up terrific numbers out of the Giants bullpen. He had a 2.47 ERA with a 1-2 record in 44 games for the Giants.

If you have Twitter, you may want to start following Kontos (@G_Kontos). He’s an entertaining guy to follow, and even asked his followers how they felt about the PED news that broke today. Which leads me to believe we don’t have to worry about ever finding him on any of those lists.

Don’t forget to go to the SF Giants Rumors Facebook page to share your thoughts on anything and EVERYTHING Giants!
