Posted on January 7th, 2013 by admin in SF Giants Rumors

2012WorldSeriesChampsFinally the San Francisco Giants are getting some respect in the baseball world! Buster Olney of ESPN.com (video blog) explains why he has the Giants ranked number 1 in his offseason Power Rankings.

Olney points out that despite the critics, it’s time to give the Giants credit after winning two championships in a three year span. They’ve done it by having the ability to win close games. The Giants have 91 wins over the last three seasons in 1-run games, that’s the most in baseball. Their winning percentage is .580 in 1-run games, which is the best in the National League. That’s a testament to the Giants great pitching staff and bullpen.
