I know the season isn’t over with yet (1 game left today), but it’s now official. The San Francisco Giants will be playing the Cincinnati Reds in the NLDS starting Saturday at AT&T Park. It’s a best-of-five series. Games one and two will be in San Francisco, and then the series shifts to Cincinnati. Game one will start at 6:37pm (pacific).
Henry Schulman of the San Francisco Chronicle says game 1 starter Matt Cain has took two of his five losses this season against the Reds. Don’t worry about that stat Giants fans. It’s a whole new ballgame once the playoffs start. Cain has the experience, and knows what he can do come playoff time. I’m sure he hasn’t forgot about his outstanding performance in the 2010 playoffs.
