The Opening Day loss didn’t faze the San Francisco Giants. They went on to take the next two games to win the series. Madison Bumgarner pitched a gem against the Dodgers in game two of the season, and Tim Lincecum struggled through five innings yesterday. He walked seven Dodgers and was obviously having trouble with his command. However, it was good enough to get the win.
Pablo Sandoval not only got the first hit of the season for the Giants on opening day, but he also hit the first homer for the G-men last night as well. Hunter Pence also showed his power by hitting a solo shot later in the game.
Welcome To The Show
Infielder Nick Noonan made his Major League Debut last night with an AB late in the game. He wasted no time at the plate, and grounded out to second on the first pitch. I’m sure he was looking for something he can hit and got it right away. Don’t worry Nick, your first career hit will come soon!
