Word on the street is reliever Guillermo Mota is on a flight to Houston to join the San Francisco Giants. It’s still not clear if the Giants will activate him today or tomorrow. There is mixed reactions to this news, but you can’t blame the Giants for activating him. They’re in much need for another bullpen arm.

  1. I just do not see how Mota can be of any help to us, He is not better than any of the righty arms in our pen. I do see a need though for a bat off the bench.
On another topic, I would like to see Posey in LF (please do not laugh). He will not cover and less ground than what Pat Burrell did over the last couple of years. Also, Barry didn’t cover that much ground either during his final years.

  2. It would make more sense for Belt to be out there. He has some limited experience and the outfield is riskier injury wise than 1st base.Any way to keep bats in the lineup without sacrificing defense will be crucial down the stretch.GO Rockies!

  3. Barry covered more ground than you think.

Yes activate Mota; he’s a pro and see if he has anything left. If not let him go
