It’s the move that everyone knew was coming… The San Francisco Giants have declined Aubrey Huff‘s $10 million option. Huff will not leave empty handed as the team must pay him a $2 million buyout. Oh, and 2 World Series rings!
Huff has had a drastic decline since the magical 2010 season. Majority of the fans are on board with this move and are thankful to Huff for the memories he brought us in 2010.
Marty Lurie of KNBR says (via Twitter), the Giants better offer Marco Scutaro two-years, and three-years ($27 million) to Angel Pagan. Lurie doesn’t think a two-year deal with an option will get the deal done for Pagan.
CSNBayArea.com reports that three Giants prospects (Gary Brown, Heath Hembree and Ricky Oropesa) will be playing in this year’s Rising Stars Game for the East Division. The game will take place Saturday, November 3rd, at 5 p.m.
