If Affeldt is looking for a 3 year deal at 7M per year, then please let him go. He does look OK now, but we will regret the signing by year 2. I would like to bring back Theriot, he is a handy guy to have around. Also, I would bring back Melky. Forgive his mistake, he is still a valuable asset.

I would not offer Pagan a contract longer than 3 years. I think 2012 will go down as his career year and his speed while fast is certainly in decline. His best stolen base years are behind him. I would not be surprised if he gets $10 a year from someone, but I hope Marty Lurie’s 3-years at $27M gets it done.

Thank you Huff for 2010, but I will not miss the 2011 and 2012 Huff at all.
