SF Giants Rumors: Hunter Pence Is On The Giants Radar, Broxton Back in the Bullpen Mix

Posted on July 27th, 2012 by admin in SF Giants Rumors

Jon Paul Morosi of Fox Sports says (via Twitter) if the Phillies decide to make Hunter Pence available, the San Francisco Giants are expected to make a push. They want a right-handed hitting outfield bat.

Pence is only 29 years old, and has some very nice pop in his bat. He’s currently hitting .267 with 17 homers and 59 RBI. It sure would be a nice counter move to the Dodgers trading for infielder Hanley Ramirez.

We recently heard that the Giants don’t see Jonathan Broxton as the answer to their bullpen. However, Jon Paul Morosi is now tweeting that Broxton is another reliever of interest for the Giants.

  1. This would definitely be a great pick up. Add some punch to the Giants’ line-up, but I think the Phillies may want to keep him in the end.

Let’s hope it’ll work out for the Giants.
