Another game against the Athletics equals another loss for the San Francisco Giants. They seem to be going through a funk right now, and they need to figure out a way to get back to their winning ways.
If you want to compare Tim Lincecum to last year, we got it covered. Andrew Baggarly of CSNBayArea.com says (via Twitter) Lincecum’s ERA last year was 5.18, and this year’s ERA is 5.12. There’s no hiding Lincecum when the rest of the rotation isn’t on track either.
In another Baggarly tweet, he points out there’s a lot of bad stuff around the Giants these days. However, their bullpen has been outstanding. Even under such heavy use, they have the 2nd lowest ERA in Major League Baseball.
“There’s no sugar-coating this thing. We pretty much covered all facets as far as no playing well,” said Bochy.
Stay Hot Torres
I’m not sure if fans have noticed, but Andres Torres has been on fire! In the last seven days, Torres is hitting .438 with three doubles. He’s also hitting .397 at AT&T Park this year, and has hit .333 for the month of May.
