SF Giants Rumors: Matt Cain Injury, Angel Pagan Puts In Work

Posted on February 25th, 2013 by admin in SF Giants Rumors

CainAllStarOpening Day starter Matt Cain took a line drive off his knee yesterday by Alfonso Soriano. However, he’s walking around normal today, and there are no signs of a limp, says Andrew Baggarly of CSNBayArea.com (via Twitter).

Baggarly also points out (via Twitter) that a few San Francisco Giants pitchers are healing up. Mike Kickham (blister) is on the list to pitch today, and reliever Javier Lopez (bruised hand) is back to playing catch. Lopez was hurt by a Madison Bumgarner pitch last week. Lopez was down in the crouch and Bumgarner threw a filthy pitch that Lopez took off his pitching hand.

Outfielder Angel Pagan was putting in some extra work today. He was on the field working on bunts off the pitching machine an hour before the Giants scheduled workout tweets Henry Schulman of the San Francisco Chronicle.
