I wouldn't gauge the "temperature" of this (or any other) situation daily by what is and isn't said in the media. So many things are said (and not said) that don't come from the actual source (Wilson and/or his agent), so rumors and conjecture fly for the sake of a story. Who knows if what he said about playing for LA is true (probably not, but it makes for a great story), and turns out half of SF hate him for something he never did. Who wants that? Who can confirm he said it, but Wilson? Media is unreliable until the ink is dry on the contract. Wilson is up for grabs, and may the best team (SF) win.
