Tonight’s the kickoff of the San Francisco Giants final homestand of the season. I’m sure you’re hoping it’s a memorable one (clinching the NL West), as I know I am.
With 10 games on this homestand, and the Giants magic number down to 9 (combination of Giants wins and Dodgers losses). There is a very good chance that we will see a pile of Giants near the mound at AT&T Park in the near future. If they can’t clinch at home, it will then be on to San Diego and then the final stop in Los Angeles.
Henry Schulman says (via Twitter) the Giants cut checks to the players every 1st and 15th of the month. Now you ask, why is that so important? It’s because the Giants have now cut their last check to ex-Giant outfielder Aaron Rowand.
