SF Giants Rumors: One Less Arbitration Case, Burriss Signs

The San Francisco Giants (Press Release) have knocked off an arbitration case by signing infielder Manny (Emmanuel) Burriss to a one-year major league contract.

Burriss is expected to come off the bench in 2012. He can play any infield position and even left field. He has some speed that the Giants will love to see in a steal situation as well.

Maybe Emmanuel will be the secret weapon who will take up some of the slack for the franchise player management didn’t try to sign. Like when the check arrives at a restaurant and it’s time for everyone to pay, there’s always someone you can count on to hide in the rest room.
