SF Giants Rumors: Pence To Make His Giants Debut Tonight
Tonight is the night that Hunter Pence will make his San Francisco Giants debut. He will be wearing number 8, playing right field and batting 5th in the lineup. It’s sure nice to know there will be some pop to help strengthen the middle of the lineup. Pence is not stranger to hitting in San Francisco. In 20 games played at AT&T Park, Pence is hitting .329 with 5 homers and 10 RBI in 76 AB’s.
Andrew Baggarly tweets, GM Brian Sabean said there is flexibility to re-sign Melky Cabrera along with Pence. There is no guarantees with free agents, so Pence acts as a safety net as well. Pence is not a rental player, and is under the Giants control in 2013.
