SF Giants Rumors: Santiago Casilla, Pablo Sandoval, Jose Mijares and Hector Sanchez

SantiagoCasillaLast night the World Baseball Classic came to an end, as Santiago Casilla and the Dominican Republic beat Angel Pagan and Team Puerto Rico in the championship. SF Giants Rumors would like to congratulate Team Dominican Republic!

Andrew Baggarly of CSNBayArea.com says (via Twitter) San Francisco Giants trainer Dave Groeschner said Pablo Sandoval had an MRI that showed same bone spur he’s had in the past. As of now there’s no plans for surgery.

Alex Pavlovic of the San Jose Mercury News says (via Twitter) manager Bruce Bochy is confident that Sandoval and Jose Mijares have enough time to get ready for Opening day. Hector Sanchez is the most iffy of the injured players.
