SF Giants Rumors: Scott Proctor Inks Minor League Deal With Giants

Posted on January 2nd, 2013 by admin in SF Giants Rumors

ScottProctorMike Graham of WPTV.com (News Channel 5 in West Palm Beach, Florida) reports that the San Francisco Giants have signed veteran pitcher Scott Proctor to a minor league deal. Proctor will also get an invite to Spring Training, and have a chance to compete and make the Opening Day Roster.
Proctor’s agent (Mark Rodgers) said the Giants contacted them once they found out that Proctor wasn’t going back to Korea, where he pitched in 2012.

Proctor went 4-4 in 57 games, with a 1.79 ERA and 35 saves for the Doosan Bears (Korea Baseball Organization). Proctor last pitched in the majors for the Yankees in 2011.
