SF Giants Rumors: Series Win Against Athletics, Now It’s Beat LA Time!

Posted on June 25th, 2012 by admin in SF Giants Rumors

There is no time to dwell on Santiago Casilla‘s blown save. Yes, it should have been a sweep for the San Francisco Giants. Let’s just be happy with the series win, and get focused on the hated Dodgers.

“We’re playing the team ahead of us, and they’ve been playing great ball. We have to do the same,” said manager Bruce Bochy.

Now is the time for the Giants to really make a move and let the Dodgers know they aren’t going to run away with this division. The G-men are just 3 games back and a series sweep will mean a tie in the NL West.

Barry Zito starts it off tonight for the Giants, and it’s his 23rd career start against the Dodgers. His career record against them is 6-9 with a 3.99 ERA. Tonight would be a good time to get that number 7 win against them Zeets!

Series Starters

RHP Nathan Eovaldi (0-3, 2.35) vs LHP Barry Zito (5-5, 4.35)

LHP Clayton Kershaw (5-3, 2.73) vs RHP Ryan Vogelsong (6-3, 2.41)

RHP Chad Billingsley (4-6, 4.15) vs RHP Tim Lincecum (2-8, 6.07)

Don’t forget to go to the SF Giants Rumors Facebook page to share your thoughts on the Giants taking on the Dodgers. Yes, you can even start the Beat LA chant on there as well.
