SF Giants Rumors: Series Win, Posey, Pence and Cabrera
The San Francisco Giants were able to get the win Sunday to secure the series win against the Rockies. The G-men have won 7 of their last 10 games.
Buster Posey (.332 AVG ) had the biggest at bat of the game. Which resulted in a 10 pitch battle, and a sacrifice fly that tied the game in the bottom of the 8th inning. Hunter Pence followed that up with his first homer in a Giants uniform. It was a 3-run homer to give the Giants a 9-6 lead, which capped a 5-run 8th inning.
Yes, we all know Pence isn’t off to a great start in a Giants uniform. He’s only hitting .154 since putting on the Orange and Black. However, he does have 11 RBI in his first 12 games as a Giant. He’s been hitting some balls hard, and they will start to find some holes. I’m sure the big homer yesterday is a big monkey off his back. That homer was the first one hit by a Giant at AT&T Park other than Posey since June 29th.
All Star outfielder Melky Cabrera (.348 AVG) continues to do what he’s been doing all season, and that’s flat out rake the opponents pitching. Cabrera had another multi-hit game. That’s his 52nd multi-hit game of the season, and he now has 157 total hits so far this season.

As long as Pence continues to pummel the ball we won’t care how great of a start he had; but more how strong he and us will finish
