SF Giants Rumors: Swisher Has San Francisco On His Radar, Ludwick and Hairston Options, Scutaro Offer On The Table

Ken Davidoff of the New York Post says (via Twitter) since the San Francisco Giants have Angel Pagan back in the mix. They’ve spoken with Nick Swisher‘s representatives, but are thinking smaller (Ryan Ludwick, Scott Hairston).
 
Jon Heyman of CBSSports.com says (via Twitter) Swisher would like to play for the Giants. In another tweet, he points out that it makes sense that Swisher would like to play in San Francisco. He and his wife live in California (Los Angeles).

Henry Schulman of the San Francisco Chronicle says (via Sulia) Marco Scutaro won’t sign elsewhere without the Giants getting a final crack at signing him. Schulman believes the Giants will fork out the funds and years to keep him.

The bidding for Scutaro is said to have reached something in the range of 3-years, $24 million. The Giants are viewed as the front runner, says Buster Olney of ESPN.com (via Twitter).

Andrew Baggarly has confirmed (via Twitter) the Giants have a 3-year proposal on the table for Scutaro. It’s believed to be in the $24 million range.

  1. Hairston is probably the best choice for platooning Gregor Blanco. Which of these three is the best defensive player.

  2. I want to see Ludwick if not swisher.

  3. Looks like Scutaro will end up signing with the G’s. Before he got injured by a pitch, Robby Thomson was a keeper at 2B.
