SF Giants Rumors: Welcome Back Timmy, G-Men Sweeeep The Dodgers!

Posted on June 28th, 2012 by admin in SF Giants Rumors

Welcome back Tim Lincecum! Lincecum finally had a strong game without a bad inning. He tossed 7 innings of shutout ball, and striking out 8 Dodgers. Lincecum closed out the series with the win, and securing the sweep for the San Francisco Giants. Which also has the Giants tied for 1st place in the NL West.

The Giants didn’t just sweep the Dodgers. They also didn’t allow a single run in the 3 game series. That’s the 1st time in franchise history that the Giants have swept the Dodgers while also shutting them out in all 3 games.

The great part of these 3 shutouts against the Dodgers was that the Giants didn’t even pitch Matt Cain or Madison Bumgarner.

Don’t forget to go to the SF Giants Rumors Facebook page to share your thoughts on Lincecum possibly being back or was it just because he faced a weak AAA Dodger lineup?

  1. The Reds could constitute a big challenge. They shelled Lincecum last year at AT&T park.

  2. The Giants are facing the Reds at home and that is a big advantage. The Giants look like they are playing their best baseball and it would not surprise me to see them win 3 or 4. I am predicting a PANDA splash hit this weekend!!!! Go Giants!!!

  3. Plus Brandon Phillips their best fielder is out of todays game and possible the series. BIg advantage to the Giants!
