Well I would like to see madison start in the pen but with signing wellemeyer you really dont have much to fall back on.. he better then joe martinez and wellemeyer but see how will he fair in spring training wellemyer has the expierence up here to win the job it will be a close race but i wouldnt mind seing the rotation this way

Bumgarner should start the season as a 5th starter his stuff is much better than all of the others and I am not sold on Wellemeyer even on a relief role his era has been high the last few years.

I’m hoping that Bumgarner can win the 5th spot and Wellemeyer becomes the long relief man

then the pitching would be set with Lincecum, Sanchez, Cain, Zito, and Bumgarner and the bullpen would be Wellemeyer, Casilla, Medders, Runzler, Romo, Affeldt and Wilson
