SF Giants Rumors: 2012 World Series Champions!

I would like to apologize for not being able to post the last couple of days. I went to game 2 of the World Series on Thursday and then watched games 3 and 4 in Los Angeles, so I had no time to update the site. It sure was nice to see all the Giants fans wearing their gear in Dodgers/Angels territory!
The San Francisco Giants have just won their 2nd World Series within a 3-year span. It just took 4 games as the Giants swept the Tigers. However, it wasn’t that easy to punch their ticket into the World Series.

The G-men had faced 6 elimination games in the 2012 playoffs prior to the World Series, and obviously won them all. This year’s Giants story has so many ups and downs. I’m just glad I was able to cover it on this site for you.

Pablo Sandoval is one of many Giants getting their 2nd World Series ring, but I’m sure this 2nd time around is much more sweeter for the Kung Fu Panda. Sandoval didn’t get much playing time in the 2010 World Series because he wasn’t producing at the plate. However, this time Sandoval was ready to show the world that he can rake at the plate.

Sandoval hit .500 (8-for-16) in the World Series. Let’s not forget his three homers that he hit in game 1 either. He was named the World Series MVP.

Don’t forget to go to the SF Giants Rumors Facebook page to share your thoughts on the Giants winning the 2012 World Series! If anyone gets any really good pictures of the players at the parade tomorrow, please send them to support@sfgiantsbaseball.net.

No question a magical year. Thank you for keeping Giants fans informed, specially for those of us who live in Dodger/Angels territory year round. We crave SF Giants news. Certainly can not rely on ESPN. They were talking more about college football on Monday morning than the World Series. Hope you continue with updates during the off season as the stove heats up. Thanks again.

Thanks for keeping all of us here on the East Coast up-to-date with Giant News. As a fan for well over 50 years, I try and watch every Giant Game that is televised. I can still recall some of the events of the Cleveland / Giants WS in 1954 as the Giants beat Cleveland in 4 games, with Dusty Rhodes providing the home run power and Willie Mays providing Defense. What a great series. Go Giants in 2013 and let’s win another one.

Giants’ management will probably be too busy patting themselves on the back and re-signing the champs to get around to acquisitions, but I’d like to know what other fans think about various free agents as potential members of the 2013 Giants: fantasy baseball. For example, Josh Hamilton seems too high-maintenance.
