SF Giants Rumors – Cain’s First Elbow Issue Of His Career, Posey Blast!

The San Francisco Giants are skipping Matt Cain’s scheduled start today. Cain had an MRI exam done after feeling some soreness in his right elbow. Ryan Vogelsong took Cain’s start today against the Rockies. Cain’s injury is described as right elbow inflammation.
Henry Schulman of the San Francisco Chronicle says he ran into Cain in the clubhouse this morning, and Cain seems totally unconcerned about what he confessed is the first elbow issue of his career.

“It definitely feels better,” said Cain, who will continue his rehab work in the training room today. “It just happens sometimes. You get a little irritation. I don’t think it has anything to do with last year or anything I changed this year.”

Andres Torres will take batting practice today and hopes to play in tomorrow’s Spring Training game.

The Matt Cain elbow thing scares me. I love Cain and think he’s a stud. Hope it’s nothing serious.
