SF Giants Rumors: Ichiro, Wilson, Gaudin, Durbin and Kontos

Mark Feinsand of the New York Daily News says (via Twitter)  his source tells him that Ichiro Suzuki had a two-year, $15 million offer from a team believed to be the San Francisco Giants. However, Ichiro is willing to take less (two-years, $13 million) to stay with the Yankees.
The Giants do not appear to be any closer to signing Brian Wilson says Henry Schulman of the San Francisco Chronicle (via Twitter).

“They assume he’s going to examine all outside options before he seriously considers a return,” says Schulman.

Janie McCauley of Associated Press reports (via Twitter) that the Giants and right-hander Chad Gaudin have reached agreement on a minor league deal. Gaudin pitched in 46 games for the Marlins in 2012, and posted a 4.54 ERA.

Jerry Crasnick of ESPN.com says (via Twitter) free agent pitcher Chad Durbin is traveling to California today to meet with a couple of unnamed clubs. In a followup tweet, Crasnick says the Giants could be in the market for veteran relief help.

Giants relief pitcher George Kontos tweets that today is a big day for him. His high school is retiring his number and jersey. They’re also hanging a World Series Giants jersey up as well.

As much as I like Wilson, business is business. He is playing the field and the Giants are waiting to see if he will take their offer. They need to play the game as well. That being “Wilson, this is our offer. You have until (put a date) upon which we withdraw our offer. He is playing a game with the Giants, that being I am pissed at you and do not want to play for you but if no one will take me, I will let you pay me. Giants do not need to be gamed. They were very good to him last year, gave him 8 mill, let treated him well at world series and payed for his meds etc.
Time to put up or say goodby.

Another issue I have problem with is all the money Magic and the guys are spending in LA. Hey Magic, there are a lot of peopleis LA that need help. Crime is big, jobs are far and fe w between, and lots of kids need help. With all the hundreds of millions given to a few, why not pony up some of the money to help the folks and fight hunger and crime. You gave one over 100 mill, can you not give the community one mill.

It’s called trying to buy a WS ring, when one has to win it instead. The Yanks have been trying it for decades. The LADies will just have to learn the hard way. $260 mil plus per year and no ring? THAT’S one expensive risk! Just think…LA’s payroll will be almost double that of the 2012 WS CHAMPS!! Absolutely sick…nusto!
