For those of you that were hoping to see Melky Cabrera back in a San Francisco Giants uniform, it’s not going to happen. Henry Schulman of the San Francisco Chronicle says (via Twitter) ESPN Deportes reports that Cabrera has a two-year deal for $16 million with Toronto.
Andrew Baggarly of CSNBayArea.com says (via Twitter) the Melk Men can circle June 4-5 on their calendars. That’s when the Blue Jays visit AT&T Park. The Giants also play at Toronto May 14-15.

Janie McCauley of the Associated Press breaks down Jeremy Affeldt‘s new contract. She says Affeldt receives $3 million as a signing bonus, and $5 million annually from 2013-2015.

  • Paul Moore says:

I have to believe he would never have come back to SF. With the way he exited, he seems to have been ashamed to see his teamates since he did let them down. If Jose P. did not pick him up, SF could have been in bigger trouble than they were immediately after his departure.

  • Anthony R says:

    Glad he’s not coming back.
Steriods have ruined all sports tainting new records.

The fun thing about records is that you can measure the past with the present.

Now steroids have made that impossible.

No way Bonds hits more homers thatn Mays without roids!
