Here’s a few nuggets for all you die-hard San Francisco Giants fans. The G-men will be starting a three game series tonight in Washington against the Nationals.

Catcher Guillermo Quiroz was DFA’d, and has accepted his triple-A assignment and will report to the Fresno Grizzlies today.
Manager Bruce Bochy told Jim Bowden that he thinks Angel Pagan looks great, and is at full speed taking BP. Pagan could possibly start his rehab assignment later this week, reports Bowden (via Twitter).
Steve Kroner of the San Francisco Chronicle (via Twitter) chatted with outfielder Roger Kieschnick about wearing No. 22, worn by Jack Clark and Will Clark: “It’s definitely a special number. I’m very humbled by it,” says Kieschnick.

Can’t wait till we get Pagan back!

  • Davydrums says:

The Thrill’s # should be retired.

  • BananaDon says:

Well, yes, No.22 is special. Jose Cruz Jr. wore it in 2003. Keichi Yabu wore it in 2008. And for guy who wore No.22 in the infield on the Mays teams was the so-so Hal Lanier.

Kieschnick shouldn’t feel all that burdened or humbled by any number. Unless it’s 24, or 44.
