SF Giants Rumors: Update On Huff’s Anxiety

The struggling veteran Aubrey Huff has been placed on the 15-day DL. Andrew Baggarly of CSNBayArea.com says he heard back in spring training that Huff’s wife had filed for a divorce. I really don’t want to get much into his personal life, but that could be a factor in Huff’s anxiety. He’s expected to join the team in San Francisco tomorrow (Friday).

Huff’s hitting .182 in 12 games with 1 homer and 4 RBI. He’s been feeling the pressure of Brandon Belt and Brett Pill knocking on the door for playing time.

I love the Giants, but I feel no sadness for Mr. Huff. H is so lucky to be getting paid $11 million or so this year. He did great in 2010, but he has not delivered since 2010 and he is not friendly with fans one on one. You could not pay me to eat dinner with him. Go
    Giants!

Huff daddy , is a great team player ! Always has been. I live in Tampa and all the rays fans still love him. We would have never won if not for him in 2010. I really hope he gets it together, cause we need him. Go Giants Hummm Baby!!!!

  • Daren says:

Amen, Kayaker! Don’t like to hear of anyone suffering, but have little sympathy for someone who plays a game for a living and gets paid a crap load of money to do it. There are thousands of people out there wondering how they’re gonna feed their kids even one meal today. Do your job or quit!

I will always be a big fan of Huff. He helped bring a World Championship to our wonderful city. Mental Illness isnt something you choose to have or not have. The fact that he plays baseball is irrelevant. I wish him the best of luck and hope he has a quick recovery.

  • Curt says:

I didn’t know that anxiety was a mental illness? Maybe Aubrey will come back and go insane hitting the ball and fielding like crazy! I like that mental illness.
