Matt Cain - San Francisco Giants

Since the last time you heard from me, the San Francisco Giants have started to trend up! They’re currently on a 4 game winning streak and just took game 1 of a 3 game set with the hated Los Angeles Dodgers by the score of 8-4!

Starting pitcher Matt Cain was looking like the Cain of old as he tossed 6 2/3 innings, and only allowing 1 run, 5 hits and struck out 5 Dodgers. Cain got more than just the win (3-1 on the season) last night. He also became the 12th Giants pitcher in history to reach 2,000-innings. Congrats to the longest tenured Giant, who’s still only 32 years old!

Tonight the Dodgers will activate pitcher Rich Hill from the DL (blister issues) to start against the Giants at 7:15 pacific time. The Giants counter with lefty Ty Blach, who has a 1.13 ERA against the Dodgers.

Busters Friday Night Bomb

If you missed the lonnnnnnnnnnnng 17 inning game Friday night, below is the walk-off homer by an exhausted Buster Posey in the bottom of the 17th inning.

In the 17th … Buster had enough. #walkoff
